Twins Capucho Smacks 5 Hits Tuesday, May 7th , 2086 Today at Ballpark of Portland, Salomão Capucho put on an impressive display. The Cincinnati Twins designated hitter tagged Maine pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but his teammates were unable to capitalize on the spree and lost the game to the Maine Lobster by the score of 7-5. "The loss takes some of the joy out of it, but I'll take it," Capucho said. "5-for-5 ain't bad in any league." Despite the terrific performance, the Twins manager was unwilling to offer the designated hitter much praise, saying the "whole roster" is held accountable for losses. "Salomão told me 'Coach, I had 5 hits' and I said 'Well that's great, but it looks like we needed one more from you,'" manager Ryan Stoops said. Salomão Capucho singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 9th. This season in 35 games, Capucho is batting .257 with 5 home runs, 20 RBIs and has scored 20 times. View Boxscore View Game Log Watch Highlights |
