Velado Blasts Stars, Kodiaks Take Game 3, 6-3
Already down in the Divisional Series, the Alaska Kodiaks put on their best show, beating the Los Angeles Stars by a final score of 6-3. Tillmam Velado was special. He went 3-6 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Alaska now trails Los Angeles 2-1 in the best-of-7 affair.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 12th. With two out, Velado hit a fastball from Luis Castillo for a 3-run home run. The Kodiaks, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Velado told the Alaska Gazette.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Stars Ballpark in Los Angeles.
