Drummers Pitching Ravaged by Flores
|
Willie Flores exploded for a barrage of base hits at Ballpark of Huntington Beach. The Moreno Valley first baseman had a field day against the Huntington Beach Drummers, finishing with a 5-for-5 day, even as his club took the loss, 9-6.
"It's a shame that we lost the game," he said. "It's really hard to enjoy what I did. You would think 5 hits would do it."
Willie Flores doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
This year, Flores has collected a .286 batting average to date with 50 hits in 175 at-bats, 19 RBIs, 4 home runs and scored 18 times. He has played in 44 games.
