6-Hit Blitz by Salt Lake's Carter
The 6th time is the charm -- at least for Ricky Carter.

The shortstop for the Salt Lake Stingers hit the milestone against the Scott County Cougars, helping his club to a narrow 10-9 victory. Carter finished with a 6-for-6 line at the plate.

"Carter was a tough out," Scott County manager told the press in the postgame interview. "If it weren't for him, I think we had this one."

Ricky Carter singled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, doubled in the 8th, singled in the 10th and hit a solo-shot off Jeremy Granlund in the 13th.

Carter has collected 57 hits for the Stingers this year, 8 of them home runs. He has also netted 27 RBIs and scored 24 runs while batting .352.
