5-Hit Clinic by Wright in Baton Rouge Win
Chris Wright put on a hitting clinic as the Baton Rouge Grapplers dumped the Grand Blanc Barons, 8-6, at Railhawks Ballpark.

The Baton Rouge second baseman made Grand Blanc defenders earn their pay, lashing Grand Blanc pitching for 5 hits in 7 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Wright said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Chris Wright singled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, singled in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th, grounded out in the 10th, singled in the 13th and hit an RBI single in the 14th.

Wright on the season is batting .384 with 9 home runs. His totals include 30 RBIs and 27 runs scored. He has played in 46 games.
