It was a quiet day for the Toledo Red Dragons at Ballpark of Toledo -- a little too quiet. New Orleans Blues starter Kevin Adkins silenced the Red Dragons, holding them to 5 hits and keeping them scoreless in a complete-game 4-0 win.
"It was frustrating against Adkins today," Toledo manager said.
The New Orleans starting pitcher walked 1 and allowed 5 hits while fanning 10.
This season, Adkins has gone 2-3 with an ERA of 3.25, posting 39 strikeouts in 44.1 innings.
