Rivera Stands Out in Lake Dalecarlia Shutout
|
All went well for Carlos Rivera of the Lake Dalecarlia Saxons as he pitched his team to a shutout victory, 1-0, over the St. Louis Hammers, limiting them to 4 hits. In the postgame interview, both managers had glowing things to say about Rivera on the day.
"Carlos's got a good selection of pitches he can throw at a guy," said Saxons manager . "He changes speed, gives different looks to different hitters. When he's on his game, he's quite a handful."
In the contest, the Lake Dalecarlia left-hander rang up 10 and surrendered 2 walks.
"He didn't give us any second chances," said Hammers manager . "It's a guessing game with him and today we were always guessing wrong."
