Gonzales Torches Texicans for 5 Hits
|
Freddy Gonzales had an answer for everything the San Antonio Texicans threw at him at Ballpark of Akron. The Akron third baseman went 5-for-8 in the game to put his name in the record book and give the Pickets a win, 4-3.
Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Gonzales said, "I just see the ball and I hit it."
Freddy Gonzales singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Lyndon Kidd in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th, flied out in the 10th, singled in the 12th, singled in the 14th and flied out in the 16th.
