Week's #1 Player Honored by ZOC Monday, October 31st, 2044 Jesús Negrón had a week for the ages as he romped to the Zona Occidental Player of the Week Award. The happy-go-lucky 35-year-old still plays ball like a kid, mashing and slashing as he goes. The Cienfuegos Camaroneros left fielder hit .455 last week as he chalked up 10 hits in 22 at-bats, 2 home runs, 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored. This year Negrón is hitting .282 with 10 home runs and 35 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .351 clip and scored 40 runs. |
