NPB News: First-Year Player Draft

Slated to have the first five choices in this year amateur draft are Chiba, Yomiuri, Chunichi, Yokohama and Orix. In a predraft poll of BNN baseball analysts, the consensus was that the 2044 draft's top ten picks will be:
1. Kun Chi, 23 year-old third baseman out of college.
2. Dakila Maglalang, 19 year-old center fielder out of high-school.
3. Seung-hwa Pak, 18 year-old shortstop out of high-school.
4. Yoshiki Hirayama, 22 year-old starting pitcher out of college.
5. Sadanobu Kawano, 20 year-old shortstop out of college.
6. Yasuhide Sanu, 21 year-old starting pitcher out of college.
7. Jae-hoon Kang, 21 year-old first baseman out of college.
8. I-po Chen, 22 year-old center fielder out of college.
9. Kiyoshi Nakashima, 18 year-old center fielder out of high-school.
10. Kanzaburo Kurihara, 22 year-old first baseman out of college.
