Sunday, February 1st, 2026: The Team Italy were dealt a severe blow when Furio Dallaglio was hurt being hit by a pitch recently in a game against the Team Australia. After the game, the team trainer reported Dallaglio might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 28-year-old third baseman out for the rest of the season with a fractured wrist. They indicated it would take Dallaglio at least 6 weeks to heal.
