Milwaukee Ace Takes Outstanding Pitcher Award Tuesday, September 10th , 2080 The Beta Conference made the official announcement today. The 2080 Beta Conference Outstanding Pitcher Award has gone to Edwin Castaneda of Milwaukee. He had a superlative season, chalking up a 9-8 won-lost mark with an impressive 1.66 ERA. Castaneda logged 23 starts, threw 162.2 innings, yielded 108 hits, struck out 206 and held the opposition to a .183 batting average. He received 30 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Vinny Montesinos of the Madison Sky Warriors finished second in voting, while Alberto Vasquez of the Salt Lake Stingers finished third.
