BC Hands Out Reliever of the Year Award Sunday, September 8th , 2080 Alberto Vasquez said he thinks hitters often underestimate him, as he's only 21 years old. But he'll certainly be getting a lot more respect now, as the Salt Lake Stingers rising star has won the Beta Conference Reliever of the Year Award for 2080. He captured the award on the strength of his 1.29 ERA over 112 innings. He also had 12 saves in 38 relief appearances, 151 strikeouts and only 23 walks. He received 30 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Tony Carrasco of the Madison Sky Warriors finished second in voting, while Victor Martinez of the Scott County Cougars finished third.
