Salt Lake Stingers Win League Championship Wednesday, August 28th , 2080 The Salt Lake Stingers were good enough to get past the Baton Rouge Grapplers at Salt Lake City Field today and secure the 4th championship in franchise history. "When you wear Stingers on your shirt, you're good at something," Salt Lake skipper told the press. Stingers shortstop Hank Snook was named MVP of the series after he went .345 with 2 home runs and 3 RBI. "It feels totally incredible," Snook said. "I could live to 1,000 years old and I'd remember this moment." The new champions capped off a great season with a 3-1 victory over the Grapplers to win the League Championship 5-2. View Boxscore |
