Camarena Parks 3 HR in the Seats
Friday, August 12th , 2078
Martin Camarena must believe in the Big Bang theory. He proved it by banging three deep against the Saint Paul Incas. The hard-hitting Victoria Seals left fielder added a lot of firepower and excitement to the 8-2 Seals win, leaving fans and the opposing dugout buzzing about his standout performance.
"He looked real good today," Saint Paul manager said later. "I think the guys were awful impressed by him. Frustrated, but impressed."
For the game, Camarena had 3 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 7, and scored 3 runs. The 21-year-old is known in league circles as a tireless worker, and told reporters he has recently been putting in extra time fine-tuning his swing, "to keep it short, compact and simple."
"Looks like it worked today," he said.
Martin Camarena hit a two-run home run off Ed Burr in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Ed Burr in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Yuniet Otano in the 5th and struck out in the 7th.
So far this season, Camarena has recorded a .229 batting average with 60 hits, 10 home runs, 30 RBIs, 32 runs scored and a .328 OBP.
