Malpass's Season Could be Over
Wednesday, August 10th , 2078
Baseball can be a contact sport at times. It can exact a harsh toll on a player's body. In a recent game against Toledo Red Dragons, Scots starting pitcher Mike Malpass was injured throwing a pitch and is expected to miss 4 months with bone chips in his elbow. The team did not announce any roster moves today related to this injury. The Hoxie skipper told BNN that personnel decisions would be announced as early as tomorrow.
This year, Malpass has worked 83 innings with 71 strikeouts en route to a 6-3 record and a 3.90 ERA.
