Louisville Pitcher Racks Up Outstanding Pitcher Award Tuesday, September 12th , 2079 The Beta Conference announced today that Jose Martinez has been chosen the Outstanding Pitcher Award winner for 2079. The Louisville starter had everything working for him this past season as he breezed to a 12-5 record. In his award-winning season Martinez crafted a 1.72 ERA in 156.2 innings with 157 strikeouts and 20 walks. Opposing batters hit .194 against him in his 21 starts. He received 30 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Quinn Topp of the Corpus Christi Golden Bears finished second in voting, while Selme Alvarez of the Victoria Seals finished third.
