Sunday, September 10th , 2079
At the age of 19, Mike Flores says he still has a lot to learn about life in RSL Single A.
But he certainly seems to be a quick study, as the Hoxie Scots reliever was better than all others this year and has captured the 2079 Alpha Conference Reliever of the Year Award.
"I hope to win this a few more times before all is said and done in my career," the La Romana, Dominican Republic native said.
For the season, Flores had 1 save in 26 relief appearances, which totaled 90.2. He fanned 104 betters, while walking 22 and put up a record of 5-3 to go with his 1.39 ERA.
He received 29 first place votes out of a possible 30. Josh Borders of the Geneva Greens finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Tony Riojas of the Baton Rouge Grapplers finished third.
