Plano Takes Title Thursday, August 26th , 2083 It was a hard-fought battle for both teams to make it this far. But as the saying goes, "to the victors go the spoils." For the victorious Plano Elephants, that meant the RSL Single A League Championship trophy. The Elephants took a 5-1 victory over the East Lansing Mighty Gulls at Mighty Gulls Ballpark, winning their 17th championship after taking the series 5-1. "We've got grit," said Elephants shortstop Chua chay Hann, who was named MVP of the series. "We know how to win when we have to." The new titleholders completed the regular season with a first-place finish in the Alpha Conference and a 85-35 record. View Boxscore |
