McDonald's Strong Week Earns BC Trophy Monday, August 9th , 2083 Speak softly and carry a big stick and you could win the Beta Conference Player of the Week Award just like Branden McDonald. He really dazzled on the diamond this week with a .536 average to take home the trophy. The Salt Lake second baseman went 15-for-28, drove in 11 runs, scored 7 times and hit 4 home runs. This season, McDonald is swinging the bat at a .290 rate with 86 hits in 297 at-bats. To date he has hit 11 home runs, scored 33 runs and driven in 41. |
