Ye Tosses 5-0 Shutout for Salt Lake Thursday, July 30th , 2076 It wasn't easy but the Salt Lake Stingers made it look that way. Starter Cheh Ye shut out the Glendale Bruisers despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Salt Lake Stingers cruised to victory, 5-0. Ye allowed only 2 hits and rang up 6 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up." This season Ye has fanned 111 in 109.2 innings and collected a 10-3 record with a 1.81 ERA. View Boxscore |
