Oaxaca Beguiles Glendale Tuesday, July 12th , 2078 Alex Oaxaca led the Trois-Rivieres Aquanauts to a shutout victory, 3-0, over the Glendale Bruisers at Trois-Rivières Park. "My pitching coach told me before the game just to bear down and focus," Oaxaca recalled later. "He said no one was going to hit me if I'm throwing a good breaking ball with good location." Oaxaca yielded 5 hits and had 9 strikeouts and no walks in the standout performance. "I thought he put the ball where he wanted to," Glendale manager said. "And that's just about the whole secret to pitching." Oaxaca has gone 10-5 this season with an ERA of 2.61 and 157 strikeouts in 138 innings pitched. Other clubs are hitting .194 against him.
