Stingers Chavez Lost for Year Friday, July 17th , 2076 Earlier today, Salt Lake starting pitcher Chris Chavez had to leave the game against Glendale because of an injury. Team officials are reporting that he has a torn labrum and will miss 6 months of play. Chavez was hurt throwing a pitch and was unable to continue playing. He will be evaluated this afternoon by team physicians. In 12 starts this season, Chavez has recorded 4 wins and absorbed 2 losses. He has pitched 57.1 innings, allowed 46 hits, struck out 60 and has a 1.88 ERA. |
