Miranda 5-for-6 for St. Louis Friday, July 17th , 2076 Who needs batting practice? Apparently not St. Louis Hammers left fielder Cesar Miranda, who missed the team's pre-game session but peppered the visiting Lake Dalecarlia Saxons for 5 hits come game time. The Hammers went on to take the 5-4 win. "I was late to the park and I wasn't sure coach was even going to keep me in the lineup," he told the press after the game. "Maybe I should skip BP more often." Cesar Miranda doubled in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 8th, flied out in the 10th and singled in the 13th.
