Glendale's Romero Down with Injury
Sunday, June 30th , 2080
When Victor Romero was hurt against the Louisville Stompers, the Glendale Beachcombers were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 20-year-old starting pitcher suffered a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Romero would miss 13-14 months of the season.

So far this year, Romero has made 12 starts, tossed 73.1 innings, struck out 99 batters and walked 28. His record is 3-6 with a 6.75 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .294 batting average.
