Beckman Blanks Geneva, 6-0 Friday, June 17th , 2078 In an outstanding mound performance, Baton Rouge Grapplers starter Jarrod Beckman fired a complete-game shutout against the Geneva Greens at Ballpark of Baton Rouge. Beckman was the key to the 6-0 Baton Rouge win. The 21-year-old right-hander was in high spirits for much of the game, his mood largely unfazed by the 6 hits and no walks he allowed. "6 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter, as long as it was a shutout."
