Lara Keeps Hit Streak Alive Monday, June 10th , 2080 Elias Lara of the Scott County Cougars tagged 1 hit in today's 2-0 loss to the Milwaukee Explorers at Explorers Park to run his hitting streak to 20 straight games. "I realize it's unlikely to have a 20-game streak and not have a couple losses mixed in," he said later. "But it still takes the fun out of it." Elias Lara flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. This year, Lara is batting .314 with 72 hits and 14 home runs. He has scored 35 times and has batted in 28 runs. |
