Beta Conference Winner is Kinney Monday, June 10th , 2080 Jason Kinney must have thought he was dreaming. First he went on an exceptional week-long batting spree, bashing the ball at a .500 clip, then the Glendale third baseman finds out he has been chosen the league's best performer and gets the BC Player of the Week Award. He told BNN reporters in the postgame, "It was a great week for me. I could see the ball so well. Plus some of the balls seemed to have good eyes, too." For the week Kinney batted .500 (8-for-16) with 4 home runs and 8 RBIs. This season, Kinney is batting .269 with 54 hits, 10 home runs, 26 RBIs, 23 walks, .347 OBP and has scored 17 runs.
