Ron Neilson Out for 9-10 Months Saturday, May 16th , 2076 Scott County reliever Ron Neilson suffered a season-ending injury throwing a pitch in today's game against the Goldpanners. According to club doctors Neilson has a stretched elbow ligament. Although Neilson has declined to comment, sources close to the player have stated that he is "devastated" that he will miss the playoffs. So far this season Neilson has picked up 6 saves in 15 relief appearances. He has also compiled a 2-0 won-lost mark with a 4.20 ERA and fanned 17 batters in 15 innings. |
