Laboy Rips 3 Homers Against Saxons Monday, July 24th , 2079 Anyone wearing a glove and sitting in the bleachers for today's Ensigns-Saxons game had a good chance at snagging a home run ball. Hillsboro center fielder David Laboy thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Hillsboro to a win, 6-4, over Lake Dalecarlia. "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Laboy said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." Laboy, who is tied for 4th in the AC in innings pitched with 120.0, was 3-for-5 on the day with 4 runs batted in. David Laboy hit a solo-shot off Ray Pierce in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Ray Pierce in the 6th, struck out in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Earl Glenn in the 11th. This season, Laboy is hitting .250 with 19 home runs. |
