"I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." de la Riva, who is tied for 3rd in the BC in total bases with 159, was 3-for-6 on the day with 5 RBI. Jesus de la Riva hit a two-run home run off Todd Britten in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Jason Carnahan in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Gerard Watts in the 9th. Thus far this season, de la Riva is hitting .366 with 21 home runs, 65 RBIs and 49 runs scored. He has 82 hits in 224 at-bats and has played in 72 games. |
