Shreveport Starting Pitcher Out Friday, July 14th , 2079 Etienne van Dijk had to leave the Blackbirds game against Geneva after suffering a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch. He will be out of the lineup at least 8 months. He told reporters, "I just felt a sharp pain when it happened. I knew there was something wrong." Up to now van Dijk has recorded a record of 1-7. In 16 starts he has fanned 88 batters in 85.2 innings with a 4.73 ERA. |
