Russell Batters Toledo for 5 Hits Saturday, July 8th , 2079 It was a parade of hits for Brandon Russell of the Hoxie Scots at Ballpark of Toledo. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Russell finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 6 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Scots to a win, 10-9. "Russell was really good and we were really bad," groaned Red Dragons manager . "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." Brandon Russell doubled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Alex Guzman in the 7th, singled in the 9th, singled in the 11th and hit an RBI single in the 12th.
