Monge Wins AC's Best Bat Trophy Thursday, June 1st , 2079 At only 19 years of age, Omar Monge could very well have many more months like this last one during his career. That would be great news for fans of the Baton Rouge Grapplers, as May was one to remember for the second baseman and he has captured the Alpha Conference Batter of the Month award. On the month he hit .321 with 8 home runs, 18 RBIs and 19 runs scored. This year, Monge is hitting at a .268 pace with 10 home runs and 25 RBIs. He has played in 51 games and scored 26 times. |
