Leroux Sensational, 5-for-5 Wednesday, May 24th , 2079 No matter what the Shreveport Blackbirds threw at him, Arlen Leroux hit it. He easily handled Blackbirds pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Barons triumph, 9-7, at Ballpark of Shreveport. "The way I was swinging, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Leroux's quip, Blackbirds skipper said he "would take him up on that next time." Arlen Leroux singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Arturo Zepeda in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Yolber Regueira in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
