Capucho 5-for-9 for Shreveport

Salomão Capucho found his groove in today's game versus the Baton Rouge Grapplers and wrote his name in the league record book. His 5-for-9 performance at the plate unfortunately wasn't enough for the Shreveport Blackbirds, as the club lost the game, 12-9.
The 18-year-old first baseman told the press "it was one of those days where everything clicked."
"I made solid contact, and the ball dropped in," Capucho said.
Salomão Capucho flied out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, struck out in the 8th, singled in the 10th, walked in the 13th, struck out in the 15th, hit a solo-shot off Tony Garica in the 17th, singled in the 18th and singled in the 19th.
So far this season, Capucho has 6 home runs and a .331 batting average.
