Mendiola Electric in 4-0 Milwaukee Win Tuesday, May 9th , 2079 In an outstanding mound performance, Milwaukee Explorers starter Axel Mendiola fired a complete-game shutout against the Corpus Christi Golden Bears at Explorers Park. Mendiola was the key to the 4-0 Milwaukee win. The 20-year-old right-hander was in high spirits for much of the game, his mood largely unfazed by the 2 hits and 2 walks he allowed. "2 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter, as long as it was a shutout." This season, Mendiola has compiled a 3-2 mark, 0.65 ERA and made 6 starts.
