Year Ends for Bryan Szabo in Glendale
Wednesday, May 3rd , 2079
The doctors have spoken and Bryan Szabo of the Glendale Beachcombers didn't like what he heard. The 18-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Szabo sustained his season-ending injury during the Trois-Rivieres Aquanauts game yesterday at Trois-Rivières Park. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Glendale medical staff reported Szabo had a torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 9-10 months.
Currently Szabo has a record of 1-3 with 34 strikeouts and 18 walks in 29.2 innings and a 4.55 ERA.
