St. Louis Loses Norm Esmonde for Season Saturday, May 1st , 2083 St. Louis Hammers third baseman Norm Esmonde left yesterday's game against the Geneva Greens after suffering a ruptured medial collateral ligament running the bases. Esmonde was taken to the clubhouse for examination by team doctors. A team spokesman told BNN today Esmonde is expected to miss 6 months. Esmonde is hitting .257 for the season with 1 home run, 3 RBIs and 1 run scored. He has 9 hits in 35 at-bats and played in 17 games. |
