Injury Sidelines Hector Ahumada For Year

The season is finished for Hector Ahumada of the Louisville Stompers. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Stompers starting pitcher suffered a torn rotator cuff while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Corpus Christi Golden Bears. Team doctors said it would take at least 15 months to heal.
On the year Ahumada has worked 97.1 innings with 80 strikeouts en route to a 7-4 record and 2.68 ERA.
