Saturday, September 10th , 2078
He may have less experience than most of his RSL Double A peers, but that didn't slow Bobby Brito down at all in 2078.
At the age of 21, the Ames Lake left fielder has been named the winner of the Alpha Conference Outstanding Hitter Award.
He had a .287 batting average and a .377 on-base percentage this year. In 107 games he piled up 117 hits, 28 doubles, 3 triples, 32 home runs, 74 RBIs and 77 runs scored.
"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."
He received 11 first place votes out of a possible 30. Jordan Vasquez of the Eagle Mountain Scavengers finished second in voting with 8 first place votes, while Jon Hernandez of the Tampico Bucaneros finished third with 7 first place votes.
