2080 Premier Player Selected By BC Wednesday, September 11th , 2080 The manager of the Saint Paul Saints said he thinks Yasuji Yamada is only going to get better as he gets older. He may only be 21, but it will be hard to top the catcher's 2080 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the Beta Conference Outstanding Hitter Award. His winning campaign featured a .289 batting average and a .426 on-base percentage this year. In 90 games he piled up 91 hits, 9 doubles, no triples, 15 home runs, 41 RBIs and 44 runs scored. He received 18 first place votes out of a possible 30. Yasuhiro Tsumoto of the Henderson Terrors finished second in voting with 11 first place votes, while Ruben Gomez of the Honolulu Axemen finished third with 1 first place vote.
