Hornyak Is King of Swing: Goes Deep 3 Times Sunday, August 9th , 2076 Montgomery Counts first baseman Asa Hornyak had a magnificent game against the Oceanside Barnstormers today, rocketing three balls out of Barnstormers Ballpark to help the Counts take the 9-4 victory. "I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes." For the game, Hornyak went 4-for-5 with 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Montgomery manager said later. "Seems like Asa found his home run stroke today." Asa Hornyak singled in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Joey Flores in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Ramon Moreno in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Dave Renderos in the 7th and struck out in the 8th. For the season Hornyak has produced 29 hits in 98 at-bats for a .296 average with 10 home runs and gotten on base at a .405 clip. |
