Jackalopes Win 2079 League Championship

The Ames Lake Jackalopes ignited a huge celebration as they beat the Sudbury Astronauts 3-2 to win the League Championship.
Ames Lake won the series 5-3, capturing the title for the 1st time.
"We stepped it up at the right time, and now we're the champs," said Ames Lake manager . "It's a great feeling."
The champs finished the regular season 77-43 and claimed first place in the Alpha Conference.
In the jubilant clubhouse after the decisive game, series MVP and first baseman Mike Young said the Jackalopes have "great fans and they deserve this."
"I am so happy for our city right now," he said.
