Injury Takes Toll, Makoto Kasahara Out
Saturday, August 14th , 2083
Saint Paul first baseman Makoto Kasahara could miss the remainder of the season because of a torn posterior cruciate ligament. He exited yesterday's Honolulu game after injuring himself while running the bases. The original diagnosis said Kasahara would be out 10 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."

This year, Kasahara is batting .311 with 5 home runs and 24 RBIs. In 50 games he has scored 32 times.
