Alpha Conference Winner is Ames Lake Jackalopes Thursday, August 17th , 2079 It's a good day to be a fan of the Ames Lake Jackalopes, as the club has won the Alpha Conference - by the slimmest of margins. "It makes it that much sweeter to win the thing by only a game," said starting pitcher Gus Juarez. "It easily could have gone the other way, but we're all happy that wasn't the case." Jackalopes players stayed in the clubhouse late into the night celebrating the victory, which was earned on the strength of the team's 77-43 record. It is the 3rd Alpha Conference title in Jackalopes history. Ames Lake will now be vying for its 1st RSL Double A championship. |
