5-Hit Game for Zamarripa
Saturday, August 12th , 2079
There was no storybook ending. Jordan Zamarripa of the Tampico Bucaneros socked it to the visiting Binghamton Blues with a terrific 5-hit game, but his team didn't get the win. The Bucaneros fell, 4-3, at Tampico Field.
"I don't want to sound ungrateful, but something is missing here," Zamarripa complained following the loss. "When you have a great game you should win the game, too."
He definitely had an unforgettable day in the batter's box, ripping out 5 hits in 5 at-bats. Tampico manager sympathized with his right fielder, telling BNN reporters after the game that "Jordan played a whale of a game, but sometimes individual brilliance is not enough."
Jordan Zamarripa singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 10th.
So far this year, Zamarripa has 11 home runs and a .242 batting average.
