Ahumada Slams 3 Homers for Dukes Saturday, July 24th , 2077 Anyone wearing a glove and sitting in the bleachers for today's Dukes-Crawdads game had a good chance at snagging a home run ball. Sault Ste. Marie left fielder Juan Ahumada thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Sault Ste. Marie to a 6-3 win over Scottsdale. "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Ahumada said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." Ahumada was 3-for-4 on the day with 6 runs batted in. Juan Ahumada hit a solo-shot off Eddy Martinez in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Eddy Martinez in the 5th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Rich Frizzell in the 7th. So far this season Ahumada has gotten 46 hits in 193 at-bats for a .238 batting average with 6 home runs. His stats include 31 RBIs and 27 runs scored. He has played in 59 games. |
