Neale Brilliant, Blanks Reds
Wednesday, July 13th , 2078
Before the game, Daniel Neale said he liked his chances. His instincts proved to be right. In a superb outing at Scavengers Ballpark, the Scavengers pitcher blanked the Aurora Reds, 8-0.
"I just had a feeling it was going to be my day," Neale said in the clubhouse afterward. "My control was awesome. I could throw my cutter even when I was behind in the count."
The Eagle Mountain starter held Aurora scoreless, giving up 2 hits while registering 10 strikeouts and issuing no walks.
"We didn't have very many good at-bats," Reds manager said in a postgame interview. "When that happens, you usually lose."
This season, Neale has fashioned a 8-5 mark and 3.36 ERA in 112.1 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .200 against him and he has logged 109 strikeouts.
