Worcester Loses Morquecho for Year Wednesday, July 17th , 2080 When Miguel Morquecho was hurt against the Sault Ste. Marie Dukes, the Worcester Commodores were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 24-year-old shortstop suffered a ruptured achilles tendon running the bases in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Morquecho would miss 7-8 months of the season. For the year, Morquecho is batting .236 with 10 home runs, 32 RBIs and 25 runs scored. |
